Working with Websites
I remember making my first websites back in college when it was cool to learn HTML and write everything from scratch. Before cloud-based was a well-used term, I completed visual projects as web pages and turned them in via an email link.
That was 20 years ago, before professors ever thought of asking students to do projects online; now it’s the norm. Back then, having a website was just for big companies and hobbyists—but now, you can’t be in any business without one.

Working with Brands
My first experience working with a nationally recognized brand was with the Y. In August 2015, I became the Marketing & Financial Development Director at the Pav YMCA in Berwyn, Illinois. It was a big leap forward in my career, and while I know I was the right person at the right time to take on the responsibility, I learned a lot about what makes a brand successful by doing the work itself.
From the values behind the visual design of the brand to the demonstration of those values in marketing, fundraising, and daily operations, I spent time and energy to understand the meaning of it, and to understand my role in the brand at the local level.
“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.”
—Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Working with You
When it comes to enhancing your online presence, I want to infuse it with experience and common sense that comes from building relationships with a diverse audience. As well, I want to back it up with the knowledge and skills I’ve gained from continued education and professional work that make me the leader I am today.
